My top tip isn't very technical, but I've recently discovered that duvet covers/sheets from charity shops can be a great source of cheap material for making toiles/muslins - provided that they're in decent condition and the material's the right kind of weight of course!Ruth - Nightingale and Dolittlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06598582222979563780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377620838801577196.post-51298785203239950332014-02-28T10:07:08.091+00:002014-02-28T10:07:08.091+00:00This looks like such a helpful book and I often fo...This looks like such a helpful book and I often forget the basics when I'm sewing something complicated and I'm stressed! My top sewing tip is to use tailors chalk to write wrong side on all fabric pieces and a narrow showing which is the top. Esp helpful if fabric is same on both sides and when making princess seamed dresses - easy to mix up pieces!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15161461473745049052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377620838801577196.post-53502615569901104662014-02-28T10:02:30.100+00:002014-02-28T10:02:30.100+00:00This looks a great book to take me beyond the basi...This looks a great book to take me beyond the basics. I don't have many tips, but I find it easier to thread a machine needle if there is something white behind it. If your machine doesn't have a white panel on the shank, try holding a piece of paper behind the needle when threading.SewLittleToSayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02076753287480386264noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377620838801577196.post-85306062885760702112014-02-28T09:36:23.968+00:002014-02-28T09:36:23.968+00:00No tips yet I'm afraid, got back into the sewi...No tips yet I'm afraid, got back into the sewing game xmas 2012, and haven't sewn huge amounts, time and motivation not always on my side, so any tips are ones I've read on others blogs! so I would love to win this book to up my game a little xJennihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02805695100481532789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8377620838801577196.post-30459775334559780372014-02-28T09:19:03.453+00:002014-02-28T09:19:03.453+00:00Thank you for the giveaway, I would love to win th...Thank you for the giveaway, I would love to win this!
